• Abbey has visited thirty-eight different schools to date, both public and private. She travels locally and out-of-state. She does not charge for visits but accepts donations to help cover travel expenses. Abbey resides in southeastern Ohio.

 

• The age range for the series is Pre-K through fifth grade, but she has shared her series with middle school students and has mentored high school students with her books as well.

 

• Readings are set up according to the school’s schedule or preference. Abbey has read to students in a variety of ways - in individual classes, for a grade level at a time in a communal area of the school such as a gym, cafeteria, or sanctuary, and in full school assemblies. She has also read to students during Family Literacy Events, at church events, and at public libraries.

 

• Readings typically last 30 minutes to an hour, depending upon the number of books shared. For example, for a first-time school visit, an hour would be suggested so a few books from the series may be covered in the time allotment. For recurring visits in which Abbey would read her newest book release, 30 minutes would be the suggested length of time as she would be reading and discussing one book. During her time with students, Abbey reads the story and has an interactive discussion with the students regarding the character trait the book covers. Abbey’s series is a character development series and each book centers around a different character trait. The fifth book is set to be released in the fall of 2024. The series will include ten total books when complete.

 

• Abbey brings an inventory of books with her for any students who wish to purchase personalized autographed copies.
